“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1
As November prepares to leave us, we’re not always ready to welcome skies of gray and the coldness of winter. Days become dreary and we miss not being warmed by the sun. We become impatient as we wait to welcome the beauty of spring.
Sometimes we forget there’s a reason for the seasons and need to be reminded to TRUST. God handles every moment of our lives. HE is in charge of the weather and we are in charge of accepting what He provides.
Sometimes, we welcome blue-sky days of sunshine good and bask in the warmth they create. But it’s harder to welcome days of gray. They cause us to become impatient while we we wait for better days to come.
God knows the longing of our hearts. He knows what brings peace and joy from His presence. He chooses what will happen next and helps us learn to be faithful. He shows how to witness His goodness in all types of weather.
GOD will help us find purpose for EVERY day. He will show us why there’s a reason for EVERY season of our lives. He will give us strength to endure and nurture our PRAISE.
We must continue to fuel our souls as we prepare to say good bye to November and keep an attitude of gratitude. Even through the coldness of winter, God will help us remember who is working in our lives. HE will prepare us to welcome His strength.
We must patiently WAIT and continue to look for the good. The sun will shine with greater reward if we remember gray-sky days won’t last forever…
We must TRUST the One who will shine His light, even on the darkest days of doubt. GOD LOVES US. We must never underestimate the power of His authority to help us remember He is deserving of praise, no matter what!
Dear God, thank you for warming us by the light of Your love. Open our hearts to Your will, so we will receive the glory of Your greatness. Warm us in Your presence, so we will find strength in YOU and never forget there's a REASON for EVERY season of our lives. Thank you for what happens when we put our HOPE in You and patiently wait for better days to come. Amen
