But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NLT

As we step toward another year, we mustn’t squander precious moments of waiting… On the doorstep of Christmas, God is preparing us to welcome the Prince of PEACE.   

When Christ came to our world, it was dark and hurting. God sent Jesus to save and bring salvation through His Son. He left the comfort of heaven to reveal His will and bring HOPE for each one of us. 

This has been a season of uncertainty, challenge and fear. Lives have been turned upside down. But God continues to reveal His presence in mighty ways as we WAIT for better days to come. 

Prayer helps us examine our lives and consider what God provides. It humbles our hearts to respond to His nudging. It opens our eyes to clearly see where STRENGTH is found and helps us learn to be patient. 

One day we will look back on these difficult days and see how God has grown us. We’ll realize how we survived the most challenging days. We will understand the need for mercy and the love of amazing grace.  

No matter how we celebrate Christmas, God will help us welcome Jesus and hold His love forever! If we look for His blessings, surely He will show us the goodness of reward. He will help us grow deeper in our relationship and help us embrace the love of a GRATEFUL heart. 

Dear God, Thank you for Jesus and the love of His faithfulness. As we open our hearts to welcome the JOY of Christmas, help us learn to be patient while we wait for better days to come. Open our eyes so we will witness Your greatness and see how it feels to be grateful. Help us remember why every moment of patience is moving us one step closer to an amazing reward. Thank you, Lord! We will TRUST in You and find STRENGTH in the PEACE of Your presence. Amen
