Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT 

God creates magnificent patterns in the design of His plans. The fabric of our lives is sewn by our Creator. The Maker of every living thing knows how to bind us together. But often we need to be reminded the blanket of wholeness is made from many threads. 

He covers us in love. He loves ALL of His children and wants us to love one another. We are not deserving of mercy and grace, but God reminds us we are worthy. He helps us consider the sacrifice of His Son. Jesus suffered and rose again. Hatred didn’t hold Him to the cross. It was LOVE that allowed God’s will to be fulfilled.

The blanket of wholeness will unravel. Lives will become tangled and torn. But God will repair the holes in our hearts and help us witness the power of His authority. He will open our eyes so we will focus on Jesus and discover where HOPE comes from. He helps us find calm in His presence. 

God will give us strength as we PRAY for our country, PRAY for our leaders and PRAY for PEACE. He will heal our land, if we turn from our selfish ways and allow the love of His faithfulness to grow. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7: 14

Our country is in crisis! Now more than ever we need to PRAY for America and allow God to restore our souls. One nation under God is what we need! He knows what needs to be done to bring us back where we belong and restore us. HE is the ONE who has the power to save. We must respond with a humbled heart of TRUST and willingness to love one another. 

We need PEACE to mend our souls. We will never understand how to share kindness unless we open our hearts, choose to make a difference and allow PEACE to return where it belongs. God will hear our cries for mercy. He is HERE and HE loves us! NOW is the time to turn our eyes toward Jesus and make room for the goodness of His love. He will cradle us in care and warm us with HOPE.  We must never forget what has already done for each one of us. 

Dr. Martin Luther King shared these words of truth; “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Everybody can be great because anybody can serve; you only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

Dear God, help us remember we are held together by the power of Your holiness. Our hearts are broken for many reasons and we need to find comfort and calm.  In days of difficulty, help us remember who is working for the good. YOU are the One who will lead us from sinful ways and mend what is tattered and torn. Thank you for having a plan for each one of us.  Nurture the heart of our love, so we will surrender fear and make room for PEACE to flourish. Help us love one another with the compassion of Jesus and reflect the light of His love. Cover us with the warmth of Your greatness and cradle us in care. And please heal the country we love. Amen
