He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 NIV

Life moves quickly and we're not always ready for Christmas. Holiday routines are stressful with lists of things that need to be done! But God readies us to feel the quiet of calm. He reminds us to be still, experience the love of our Savior and welcome the GIFT of His Son.    

Now, more than ever we need to remember Christmas is more than packages tied with bows. Presents piled under the tree are wonderful. But we mustn't forget, God has already given the greatest gift to each one of us. He longs for us to receive ALL He provides.  

Jesus brought light to the darkness! HOPE came when He was delivered to the world and held by the strength of the Father. We can find PEACE as we patiently wait with TRUST. God WILL help us find it. He will humble our hearts to RECEIVE the goodness of His everlasting love.

If we take time to remember WHY we celebrate, surely God will bless us. He will help us find PEACE for today and all our tomorrows  When we open our eyes and focus on the Savior; Jesus will fill us with everything we need to step in the fullness of His love. Our living Christ will love us forever as we gratefully follow Him.

Dear God, thank you for moments of perfect PEACE when we're quiet and still in Your presence. Humble our hearts as we welcome JESUS! Thank you for sending Him to light the world with the gifts of Your greatness. We will welcome Him with grateful hearts of praise, lift our eyes to the One who saves and gratefully honor You with all of our love. Help us always be READY to welcome Christmas calm. Thank you, Lord. Amen
