“He must become greater; I must become less." John 3:30 NIV
Often we become consumed by our own agendas. We race to get ahead and forget who’s in charge of our days. We have trouble letting go of control and need to be reminded to submit to God. He longs to help us with the decisions we make to step on the path toward fullness.
Sometimes we forget to PRAY for God’s guiding. We get sidetracked by worldly wants and forget God provides what we NEED to grow in His greatness. He wants us to discover the beauty of surrender, humble our hearts and walk closer to Him.
HE is our constant source of strength. God knows when it’s time for us to make a change and experience how to TRUST. He grows our FAITH and guards the steps we take to move in a better direction. He helps us remember why HE is the ONE who is worthy of PRAISE, time and affection.
Temporary fulfilment is fleeting. But the love of God is our constant source of STRENGTH. He nurtures our souls as we breathe in PEACE. He helps us experience the JOY of Jesus and provides what we NEED to be reminded we DON’T have to figure out everything alone.
The Bible says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
We mustn’t be afraid to leave behind what will never allow God to become greater in us. He is deserving of SO MUCH MORE than mere morsels of love and MORE than selfish WANT. The One who guides and provides will honor our efforts to step closer to Him. He will bless us as we welcome JOY.
Dear God, thank you for Your everlasting love. When we become too full of ourselves, humble our hearts for YOU. Help us see beyond worldly desires. Teach us to recognize why You must become greater in our lives and show us how to LOVE YOU SO MUCH. Help us see the beauty of surrender and let go of our need to have control. Thank you for the PEACE You place in our hearts as we welcome the JOY of Jesus and learn to walk closer to YOU. Thank you, Lord! Amen
