He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be honored among the nations. I will be honored in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 NIRV

God patiently waits for us to seek Him and welcome His presence of strength. In quiet moments of purpose, He fills us with peace. He longs for us to feel His nudging and recognize the value of being still. He knows the heart of our praise.   

It's good to be silent and held by love. God knows what we need before we speak. He blesses us as we listen and gratefully receive. He help us examine our hearts and loving respond with faith to believe our time with Him will be fruitful. 

God will place hope in our hearts. We mustn't be afraid of silence when we pray. There are reasons God needs us to be quiet and not speak. Surely, He is deserving of more than mere morsels of love. We must be ready when it's time to be still and listen. 

Dear God, thank you for allowing us to rest in Your presence. Forgive us when we allow distractions to lead us far away. Open our hearts, so we will be still and remember we are valued and loved. Thank you for letting us sit in peace. Renew us with the love of Your faithfulness and arm us with everything we need to welcome strength. Thank you for hearing the prayers of our praise and teaching us to take time to listen. It brings us so much closer to YOU. Amen
