God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:10 NIV
Life won’t always welcome smiles and grateful anticipation. We will live in moments of wonder and feel what steals our calm. But God will find the way to remind us HE IS HERE. He will arm us with everything we need to remember we're NOT alone in times of trouble.
Battles don’t have to be BIG to shake us to the core and send us spinning in the wrong direction. The devil uses weakness to perpetuate fear and convince us battles won't be won by the Lord. But we know that’s not true! God removes what we surrender and replaces it with courage. He helps us find STRENGTH to bravely carry on.
The Bible says, “The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Exodus 14:14 NLT. How can we stay calm in the midst of trouble? We can reflect on the promises of God and TRUST in Him. We can pray in Jesus’ name, ask for HELP and BELIEVE we will find it. He is the GIVER of PEACE.
When people say, “It is well with my soul”, it doesn’t mean they live without struggles. It is an affirmation of FAITH and grateful TRUST in the One who IS handling our days. God leads us from darkness and returns JOY where it belongs. It’s what we NEED as we follow Jesus and walk in His fullness.
We don’t have to sit in ditches of doubt or dwell where we don’t belong. In times like these, it would be easy to feel lost in the midst of challenges. But Jesus knows our need for PEACE, compassion and the assurance of better days to come.
God WILL allow us to witness His plans as we respond to His nudging. If we surrender our burdens, He will help us focus on Jesus and discover how He guides and provides. God will help us handle frailties of life and move us in the right direction. Surely, we will recognize why we are blessed when we choose to welcome HOPE.
Dear God, thank you for the beauty of each season. Your mercies and new each and every morning. Help us not feel afraid when changes come and we need to trust in You. Lift us from ditches of doubt and arm us with everything we need to fight our battles. Thank you for Your comfort and LOVE. It helps us find strength to say, “It is well with my soul.” Thank you for mercy and grace. It covers us in many ways and we are grateful! Thank you for taking care of us and those we love. Amen
